Certosa
Pavimentazione autobloccante in graniglia di marmo
Certosa is a self-locking floor that combines the beauty of marble granite with the creative vision of João Ferreira Nunes, a renowned Portuguese landscape architect who has already collaborated with Favaro1 on numerous projects. Thanks to its resistance, extreme versatility and ability to blend harmoniously with the natural environment,
Certosa is a functional work of art that lends itself to extraordinary landscape design projects. This marble granite floor was designed to integrate with the surrounding nature, following its lively and unpredictable shapes. Certosa does not follow a straight line path but extends towards the edges of the lawn, widening until it almost disappears into the grass in a fluid and harmonious way, without leaving any rigidly delineated edge.
Certosa is available in three formats, S, Z and square, to offer maximum flexibility in design: by combining the three shapes in different ways, it allows you to create the composition best suited to the specific needs of the project following the vision and inspiration of the designer. architect. The finishes also offer a wide range of creative possibilities by playing with contrasting shades or creating tone-on-tone combinations to make each flooring unique and fascinating.
One of the distinctive features of this self-locking floor is its resistance to stains, a property that makes it perfect even for outdoor spaces that are most exposed and vulnerable to dirt.
Certosa is as versatile in design as it is in use. It can be used to create sinuous paths that cross meadows and parks following the natural shapes of the environment or original geometric designs for the paving of a square or other urban spaces.

Certosa® is a model from the VIA VENETO line by FAVARO1 and is composed of a double layer. The wear layer, with a minimum thickness of 4 mm, consists of a mixture of marble aggregates, porphyry, granite, and selected materials of excellent quality, providing excellent surface performance. Certosa® is a product available in three formats (each format has a single mold): 60x30 cm DX / 60x30 cm SX / 30x30 cm with a thickness of 9 cm. Its innovative design distinguishes it from classic pavements; indeed, its peculiarity is that it can be laid individually or by combining all three format types, becoming a real furnishing element. Its style combines design freedom with great flexibility of patterns thanks to the wide range of available colors. With its aesthetic impact and performance, its intended use can vary, from residential construction to commercial/industrial or public works. Its natural colors endure over time more tenaciously, enhancing the pavement's design.
Physical-mechanical characteristics according to UNI EN 1338 standard: nominal dimensions 300 x 300 mm, nominal thickness 90 mm, tolerance on nominal thickness ±3 mm, characteristic resistance to indirect tensile strength ≥3.6 MPa, minimum breaking load for shear ≥250 N/mm, water absorption ≤ 6.0%, satisfactory slip resistance. Anti-slip classification R13 according to DIN 51130, anti-slip classification C according to DIN 51097, compliant with the anti-slip requirements of DM 14/06/1989 n.236 for outdoor pavements. Content of recycled materials CAM EDILIZIA (Decree of 23-06-2022) ≥10.5%, solar reflectance index SRI (for gray material and white-based colors) according to ASTM E1980 ≥29.
Installation according to the reference methods indicated by UNI 11241 standard on a prepared sub-base according to the type of expected traffic and the condition of the natural soil based on the indications of the "Catalog for the design of urban pavements" edited by Assobeton, 2005: the materials used for the bedding layer and sub-base, and their compaction conditions, must ensure the necessary load-bearing capacity.
