Via Roma in Roncadelle, Brescia, Italy
In the heart of Roncadelle in the province of Brescia, Via Roma underwent a groundbreaking transformation thanks to the intervention of an avant-garde architectural work, designed by the renowned Architect Rinaldo Ciravolo.
The Municipality of Roncadelle (BS) had indeed launched a design competition to identify the proposal that would best enhance the distinctive elements of Via Roma and its urban context.
The central objective of this project was to enhance and valorize the most emblematic outdoor spaces of the urban center, providing them with an organized and refined atmosphere through the enhancement of underlying services and a reorganization of furnishings. Another focus was directed towards reducing the impact of vehicular traffic, with particular attention to overcoming architectural barriers and ensuring inclusive accessibility for all.
This revolutionary project came to life through the innovative use of the Recycle interlocking pavement, a true technological gem. With its exceptional filtering capacity of 50 liters of water per square meter per second, Recycle proved to be an extraordinary option for tackling the most challenging hydraulic issues. Its durability, with a hydraulic variance index of less than 0.05, made it a benchmark of resilience, capable of withstanding even three consecutive water bombs without compromising performance. Thanks to this cutting-edge solution, Via Roma has become a symbol of modernity and sustainability, blending functionality and design in a perfect combination.
In conclusion, thanks to Recycle, Favaro1 successfully achieved the objective of enhancing the distinctive elements of the urban context, improving the quality and functionality of the area, transforming the thoroughfare into a landmark for the community, ideal for events and gatherings as required by the contracting authority.
