Jesolo’s New Waterfront
Developed in successive phases and scheduled for completion in 2027, the project treats the waterfront as a single design sequence, in which each section interacts with its surroundings while maintaining a coherent vision of the entire waterfront.
Surface as a Design Language
In the Jesolo project, paving plays a role that goes beyond its technical function.
Different colors, geometries, and compositional patterns accompany the route and help shape the identity of the various areas along the waterfront, creating a continuous relationship between urban spaces, hospitality facilities, vegetation, and the sea.
The surface thus becomes an integral part of the experience of the place, capable of guiding, connecting, and enhancing the coastal landscape.
Favaro1’s Contribution
Favaro1 contributes to the project through Mega, the large-format solution chosen to define the new waterfront.
The various color and compositional combinations used in the different sections allow for an interpretation of each location’s unique characteristics, avoiding uniformity and strengthening the dialogue between the paving and the architectural and landscape context.
This project demonstrates how the surface can become a design tool capable of contributing to the construction of urban identity and the enhancement of public space.
