Mattone Filtrante

The distinctive feature of Mattone Filtrante is its permeability, which is due to its porous structure that allows natural replenishment of aquifers, restoring the conditions of equilibrium that existed prior to urbanisation. Furthermore, this solid filter reduces the inflow of rainwater that would otherwise burden the drainage system. It prevents the formation of puddles and surface runoff compared to normal asphalt paving. The macroporosity of Mattone Filtrante, in combination with the permeable substrate recommended by Favaro1, increases the volume of rainwater storage.

The Mattone Filtrante solid block is available in Quartz Grey and Quartz Amber colours in the 198x98mm format with a thickness of 80mm.
