Recycle 2.0 awarded best green product at the CITY’SCAPE AWARD 2025

Last June, the CITY'SCAPE Awards 2025 took place. Favaro1, with Recycle 2.0, won first prize in category O – Landscape Green Company: product innovation, process, start-up, and patents.

“The jury of the City_Scape 2025 Award has awarded the Prize – Category ‘Landscape Green Company: product, process, start-up, and patent innovation’ to Recycle 2.0, presented by Favaro1, for developing a patented sustainable urban paving solution with high drainage properties, made with over 70% locally sourced recycled aggregates. The photocatalytic concrete contributes to the reduction of air pollution, while the double finish with marble stone combines aesthetics, durability, and circularity."

We would like to thank the jury and the symposium organizers for believing in the Recycle 2.0 project—the interlocking, draining outdoor paving developed by Favaro1 in collaboration with FavaroLab.

An evolution of Recycle®, which retains its exceptional wear resistance and filtering capacity, version 2.0 features a thin surface layer of marble grit that not only gives the paving a more refined and elegant style but also makes the blocks easier to clean and ensures impeccable aesthetics over time. Sustainable and functional, Recycle 2.0 allows for continuous flooring even on very large surfaces, as it does not require the installation of drains, and mitigates the heat island effect thanks to internal voids that promote heat exchange.

All winners of the CITY’SCAPE AWARD 2025

During the ceremony, held at the end of the CITY'SCAPE SYMPOSIUM, prizes were awarded to the most representative projects of the 2025 edition, which express the excellence and communicative power of landscape design at a global level and the ability to respond to climatic and social challenges. Sixteen thematic categories – including innovation, sustainability, urban regeneration, and environmental enhancement – some of which were newly introduced, saw over 60 projects triumph, including winners, honorable mentions, and special mentions.

With more than 260 entries from 26 countries, the CITY'SCAPE AWARD 2025 confirms its status as a benchmark for landscape architecture. The high level of the projects in the competition highlighted the quality and variety of solutions proposed by studios and professionals active in Europe, Asia, the Americas, and Oceania, reinforcing the value of comparing different approaches, contexts, and visions.

The entries were evaluated by a jury composed of leading figures from the academic and institutional world: architects, university professors, representatives of professional associations, and the magazine TOPSCAPE, promoter of the event together with PAYSAGE and the National Council of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects, and Conservators (CNAPPC).
