composed of a double layer. The wear layer, with a minimum thickness of 4 mm, is made up of a mixture of high-quality aggregates,
which give the walking surface excellent performance. Galassia GOLD is washed with pressurised water,
which is applied over the entire surface, bringing out the natural colours of the marble/porphyry.
With its aesthetic impact and performance, its intended use can vary from residential and commercial construction to public works.
These grits enhance the colour and make it more resistant over time, in a more tenacious way, enhancing the design of the flooring.
Physical and mechanical characteristics according to UNI EN 1338: nominal dimensions 74x222/148x222/222x222/296x222* mm,
nominal thickness 70 mm, tolerance on nominal thickness ±3 mm, characteristic indirect tensile strength for shear ≥3.6 MPa,
minimum breaking load for shear ≥250 N/mm, satisfactory slip/skid resistance.
Complies with the anti-slip requirements of Ministerial Decree 14/06/1989 no. 236 for outdoor flooring.
Environmental sustainability characteristics: asbestos-free, CAM EDILIZIA recycled material content (Decree of 23-06-
2022) ≥10.0%, solar reflectance index SRI (for Botticino and Giallo Oro colours) according to ASTM E1980 ≥29.
Installed in accordance with the procedures indicated in UNI 11241 on a base prepared according to the type of traffic expected
and the condition of the natural soil, based on the guidelines in the ‘Catalogue for the dimensioning of urban paving’
published by Assobeton, 2005.
Marble/porphyry chips extracted from ‘marble/porphyry’ quarries may have different shades depending on the place of
extraction or from vein to vein. These chips may have slight discolouration due to the type of processing they undergo
during production.
Extraordinary cleaning and maintenance
The Quartz Color System is a production system based on the combination of a special mixture with a distinctive production process. The mixture involves the addition of a certain quantity of quartz to enhance the physical and chemical performance of the product, while simultaneously amplifying its technical capabilities. On the other hand, the special production process creates a specific impermeability between the treated element and the exterior, enabling easy cleaning of the flooring and reducing stains compared to an untreated Quarz Color System product. The colors remain more durable over time, enhancing the design of the flooring.
