WHAT IS IT?

The LVE system is a tactile path that aims to overcome difficulties in the usability and liveability of spaces, thus promoting the mobility of people with visual difficulties. It was designed for the benefit of the visually impaired and visually impaired, but also to facilitate the elderly, whose visual acuity is usually significantly reduced. For this reason, it is expected that the tactile elements are also chromatically contrasted in terms of the luminance coefficient (light-dark contrast not less than 40%).

HOW DOES IT WORK

The modular elements that make up the route, equipped with reliefs designed specifically for shape, spacing, height and radius of the relief, allow blind and partially sighted people to reach a destination through the plantar and tactile sense of touch, the electronic cane, hearing and luminance contrast. Thanks to its integration with the different elements of the route - floor, tag, stick and smartphone - it allows the visually impaired person to constantly perceive the direction and spatial localization of the routes. HI-TECH INTERACTION LVE is a tactile path equipped with RFG TAG, based on RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology, i.e. passive sensors which, installed beneath the tactile flooring, act as incubators of information, inserted through a mapping, and which are intercepted by an electronic baton. An antenna positioned inside the stick detects and reads the Tags placed along the tactile path and subsequently sends a signal via Bluetooth to the user's headset or smartphone or tablet, providing all the detected information vocally. In this way, the user - through the connection system - is informed analytically of the entire surrounding environmental context.
